A Sound Tower


A Sound Tower, is a sound installation that the visually impaired could engaged with. The tower stood 16’ tall with a 2’-6” square central support structure. The top of the tower was 8’ square and supported four sound focusing speakers. These speakers projected a focused beam of sound to limit distracting audio spillover. The speakers played an oral history of the visually impaired. This tower was part of the exhibition, Please Touch the Art.
