Self Portraits

My earliest photographic images that explored my learning-disabled experiences are self-portraits. In this early series of images, I did not show my face but placed my body in relationship with school artifacts to explore the stress a person with a learning disability can go through. I learned to hide my learning disabilities at an early age, now I am no longer willing to hide or even mask the fact that I am Dyslexic, a type of a learning “difference”.
