Honolulu Bombed School - 1941

On December 7th 1941, a bomb wrecked the Lunalilo School in Honolulu, Hawaii. The caption of this editorial photograph reads: A view of the interior of the Lunalilo school in Honolulu. Showing the damage wrought by a Japanese Bomb. That struck the building during the sneak raid on December 7th. Fortunately it was Sunday and the children were at home instead of grinding away at the THREE R’s. This photo was approved by Army G-2 at Honolulu. Dated, December 20th 1941 at 12:30 pm.
