This postcard was written by Viola, a first hand witness of the Little Rock Central High School Desegregation Crisis, and sent to Miss Beulah Hudson in Louisville, Kentucky. It was postmarked at 1:30 p.m. on September 30th, 1957 in Little Rock, Arkansas. The image on the front of this card is of the Central High School of Little Rock. This postcard was postmarked five days after the Little Rock Nine are escorted through the front doors of Central High School, and one day before the 101st Airborne turns over control of the majority of their duties to the federalized Arkansas National Guard.
