On September 30, 1957, This postcard was written by Viola, a first hand witness of the Little Rock Central High School Desegregation Crisis, and sent to Miss Beulah Hudson in Louisville, Kentucky. It was postmarked at 1:30 p.m. on September 30th, 1957 in Little Rock, Arkansas. This postcard was postmarked five days after the Little Rock Nine are escorted through the front doors of Little Rock Central High School, and one day before the 101st Airborne turns over control of the majority of their duties to the federalized Arkansas National Guard. The image on the front of the card is of the Magnolia Court travel hotel. The handwritten correspondence reads: September 30th 1957, Hello: Looks like wartime to see soldiers fully equipped. Home late Sunday. October 6th, Viola.
