Peoria Tribal School – East of Miami, Oklahoma. The Peoria Tribal School was constructed in 1872 and provided education for the children of the Confederated Peoria reservation from 1872 to 1893. Following Oklahoma statehood in 1907, the Peoria Tribal School become a public-school facility and continued in that role until 1951 when the school district was consolidated.
